An intimate, quiet resort, Be Agafay, is nestled in the middle of the Moroccan desert. With an oasis pool and night under the starts in the luxurious glamping tents and breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, It makes for the most magical setting for adventurous souls looking for an unforgettable experience for their Marrakech desert elopement.
Camels, sunrise over the Atlas Mountains, not one but three Rue de Seine gowns, fireworks show, traditional Moroccan performers.. just a few ingredients that made for this boho-luxe Marrakech desert elopement wedding editorial in the Agafay desert which will hopefully inspire your destination wedding planning.
The wedding breakfast was set up on a hill overlooking Be Agafay with a “wave table” decorated with locally sourced Moroccan pieces and dry florals from local artisans perfectly fitted the surroundings. This Marrakech desert elopement showcased a balance of modern and berber style. Exuding bohemian vibes, the planner La Perle – party Maroc and the workshop host Rc Education went for a nude colour palette, influenced by sand, stone and, very fittingly, the desert.
Megan and James embarked on a sunset camel ride, Megan wearing a Rue de Seine gown with floating sleeves, basking in the warm glow as they shared a tender moment. As dusk settled, the enchanting ceremony unfolded amidst fairy lights in the sand dunes. Adorned with vibrant pillows, ornate lamps, Berber Beni Ourain rugs, and rustic leather seats, the design exuded authenticity with a touch of modern romance. The picturesque setting, aglow with soft, intimate light, radiated warmth and intimacy. Dreamy photographs beautifully captured the authentic essence of their love. Amidst the celebration, traditional Moroccan performers added a cultural flourish with music and dancing.
Is it a Marrakech desert elopement if camels and desert landscape don’t make an appearance?
We ended this Marrakech desert elopement with a captivating display of LOVE-shaped fireworks and a fire-blowing show, with the couple dancing to the rhythmic beats of Moroccan drums. Megan adorned yet another dazzling Rue de Seine gown, sparkling brilliantly in the flash photos.
The following morning (or should I say, in the wee hours of the night?), we rose before sunrise for a breathtaking couple photoshoot and a third captivating Rue de Seine ensemble for the bride – Palm an ombre gown with Desert Rose Veil. Capturing unforgettable moments, we obtained incredible images with the Moroccan sun rising behind the couple as they cozily embraced—a memory they will forever cherish!
